This Heat Wave embossing class is packed with a lot of great techniques to stretch the use of heat embossing! Out of all that I chose layered embossing cause of my very limited heat embossing supplies! I only have a set of metallic embossing powder from Zing that is opaque, the rest of my coloured embossing powder are translucent. I didn't pay attention to the opacity of embossing powders before cause I mainly used clear, black, white and gold to emboss sentiments. Now that I've learn all this great techniques, I am going to invest more on opaque embossing powders :)
Anyway, this beautiful card was made using stamp set for layer stamping, but instead of ink, I used embossing powders. I am so thrilled with the results using this technique. The sentiment was stamped using Delicate Gold pigment ink pad. To give the card some dimension, I also used white fun foam to raise the main panel! That is it, thanks to Online Card Classes, it is a very simple but gorgeous card for this week!
