Tangram Style Card - Cat!

Hello my crafty friends.  Today I am sharing a card with an image that was made only by stamping.  I have been playing with inks in the past couple weeks.  I am more a colourist then a stamper or an inker.  I don't have many inks and most of them are Distress inks cause, for me, I can do more fun things with them then just stamping.

However, if you like to colour, which I do, you probably love colours.  The ink pads from different companies, ranging from Simon Says Stamp, Rangers, Hero Arts, Lawn Fawn, My Favourite Things, to Altenew, have huge arrays of gorgeous and inspiring colours.  They always makes me want to create a main image on a card that just use these pure intense colours right from the ink pads.

I tried some layer stamping with stamps that are for this purpose but it didn't satisfy what I wanted to achieve.  Finally, inspired by tangram, I created this card.

I used mostly distress inks cause that is what I have the most.  Though it was hard to get a good solid stamp image at first using distress inks, but with some practices, I was able to achieve beautiful results.  I have to admit though, inks like Altenew, is way easier to get an excellent result when comes to stamping solid images.

To keep the card simple, I used Sizzix's Tim Holtz embossing folder to frame the image.  The little diamond shape is from Technique Tuesday's Simple Sentiments stamps set.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a gorgeous day!  All the other products I used are listed below.
