More Christmas Cards

Hello my crafty friends, I have more christmas cards to share with you guys today.  I was lucky to have two full days to make more christmas cards for my daughter's teachers.  Since I can't make them all the same, I decided to go with a theme, this set I use sky blue and white colour.

For this christmas elf card, I used luminance 6901 coloured pencil to colour the elf from Gerda Steiner Designs.  A silver gel pen and a sparkle blue gel pen to colour and doodle on the negative space of the presents die.  I also decided instead of having the sentiment at the front, I have it inside the card!

I have a lot of fun making these two cards.  Since the negative of this die is as gorgeous as it positive.  I used both and made two cards!   The background of the die cuts are created using a retired stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.  I have another card made just using that stamp set and the details are at the bottom of this post.

I used watercolour for this card.  This is my first time using Daniel Smith for watercoloring and I had a blast!

I also have another christmas card using stamps from a retired stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.   The pine branch in this stamp set is super fine and it looks gorgeous with silver pearl embossing powder.  I also used this image as the background of the other christmas card above.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  I stamped it with Ocean Waves ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.   Since ink colours deepened after heat embossing, I used a darker tone blue card stock to match the sentiment colour.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderfully creative day!  Products I used are listed below.

Happy Holidays from Waddle's the Penguin

Hello crafty friends, I have another Christmas card to share with you guys.  This one is similar to the on I did last week but layered a bit differently.

For this card, I used the same left over pattern paper, vellum and white card stock from my last project, but instead of what I did last week, I placed the vellum on top of the pattern paper first to give a more winterly cold feel, and then the snow drifts and the stylish snowflakes on top.

The super adorable Waddles the penguin, from Your Next Stamp's Snow Fun stamp set, was coloured with Copic markers.  I chose this image cause I think it is perfect for the wavy and kind of "moving" background.

That is it, again very simple but fun to create.  I have listed all other products I used below.  Thank you for stopping by and have fun creating :)

Season's Greeting from Penguin and Deers

Hello my crafty friends.  I am back with a *layered* card this week.  I usually like to make simple one layer, image right on the card base, type cards.  But Christmas cards are quite a different story...it is like the more layers and the fancier they are, the better!

For the layering, I have a piece of vellum on top of a smaller white card stock.  The whole thing is then put on top of a pattern paper from Recollection I bought at Michael's.  The vellum and the white card stock were die cut with a bit offset for a little more dimensional look.  Also, the white card stock that is under the vellum is 1/2 inch smaller in size to give a 1/4 border for the card.  The card is 4 1/2 by 6 inches.

The cute images were coloured using Copic Markers.  The image was popped up using some foam adhesive foam for a more dimension look.  I didn't use the accompanying dies for the images but have it listed below for your convenience.

The sentiment is from a retired stamp set and it is embossed using gold embossing powder.

That is it, I hope you like the card.  The products I used are listed below.  Have a wonderful time creating and I will catch you next time :)
